Miriam and Spencer met in NYC They quickly bonded over their love of running, hiking, nature, and vegan food. They recently moved to Bend and adopted two adorable rescue pups; Ruti and Pickles. Spencer proposed surrounded by family, flowers, and candles at Miriam’s parents place in Eugene. Sweet little Ruti helped with presenting the ring!
They planned the perfect outdoor wedding at Whitewater Ranch that represented the things that connected them as a couple. Ruti and Pickles were present through all the important moments. Miriam found white lace harnesses for them on Esty to dress for the occasion and had florals created for their leashes.
Spencer’s suit was handmade by a talented tailor Josh Suran. Josh was present on the wedding day toa make sure their wedding attire was perfect. He left no detail unnoticed from steaming the bridesmaids dresses, bustling the bride, and making sure Spencer looked on point. Kelsey at Foxbbound flowers pieced together an amazing bouquet that gave that just-picked mountain meadow look. Her choice of florals that were pieced together fit perfectly with the surrounding nature at Whitewater Ranch. Miriam also wore a beautifully crafted flower crown that complemented her bouquet. The vegan Caterer based out of Portland prepared an amazing dinner that was enjoyed by all. Makenna of the Pink Paloma provided bar service and crafted some pretty tasty cocktails. The top two drinks of the night were named after Ruti and Pickles! Divine cupcakes delivered a variety of Gluten free vegan cupcakes for dessert. Spencer designed their save the dates and also the details of the beverage glasses. I loved the imagery, detail, and originality of the save the dates. The images that spencer selected of grandparents, parents, their sweet pets, and natural elements that they love were pieced together perfectly. To me it symbolizes celebrating the past, present, and the future that Miriam & Spencer will create together.
Whitewater Ranch is one of the most picturesque places to host your wedding. It is a working organic farm and next to the bridal suite was fenced area with a few really sweet donkeys! Miriam was on site to get ready for the day. The bridal suite is a little white cottage surrounded by a few apple trees. After Spencer arrived they shared a first look near their ceremony site along the river. To follow we did a few portraits in the forested area and then met family for group photos. Prior to the ceremony the marriage certificate was signed along with their mom’s and two sweet pups!
Miriam and Spencer’s guest walked a short trail though the forest to their ceremony site along the McKenzie River. After the ceremony guest grabbed drinks and were seated for dinner at picnic tables under a canopy of trees lit by bistro lights. Shortly after dinner the speeches were given and the first dances were danced. Miriam and Spencer were celebrated by many close friends and family, it was so great to witness such a joyful celebration of two incredible people.
